This policy explains what information is collected when you visit grandtheftautowiki.com ("GTAWiki", "we", "us") and how it is used. GTAWiki is run by the team behind the GameSight YouTube channel. Questions about this policy: email us via the contact page.

What we collect

We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't sell personal information. We only receive personal information you choose to send us, such as the content of an email.

Like most websites, the services that deliver this site may process technical information automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. This happens through the third-party services described below.

Hosting and security

GTAWiki is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages quickly and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses and request details. If we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, it works without cookies and doesn't track you across sites. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages people read, how they found them (for example from Google Search or YouTube), roughly where visitors are (country or city level), and what kind of device and browser they use. This helps us decide what to write next. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) and Google processes this data on our behalf; we don't use it to identify you personally, and we don't combine it with other data about you.

Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), analytics cookies stay off until you agree to them in the consent message. Advertising (Google AdSense)

GTAWiki may show advertising served by Google AdSense to cover the cost of running the site.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

Embedded YouTube videos

Our articles include GameSight videos from YouTube. To protect your privacy, the video player doesn't load until you click play, and it then loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com). Once you play a video, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that viewing. Video thumbnails are loaded from YouTube's image servers.

Fonts

The site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers to download them. See Google's privacy policy.

Cookies

GTAWiki sets Google Analytics cookies to count visits (see above), only after consent where the law requires it. Cookies may also be set by advertising partners (see above) and by YouTube after you play a video. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. For data held by Google or Cloudflare, use the links above. For anything you've sent us directly, contact us and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

Children

GTAWiki covers Grand Theft Auto VI, a game rated for mature audiences. The site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes (for example when advertising or analytics settings change). The date at the top shows the latest version.
