GTA 6 Phone Apps: Every In-Game App Confirmed So Far
Jason and Lucia's phones do real work in GTA 6. They scan cars before you steal them, call a ride across Vice City, keep tabs on Snapmatic and hold your money. Here's every app Rockstar and the previews have named, what each one does and what's still unknown.

GTA 6's phone is a tool, not a menu you forget about. Rockstar and the big previews have confirmed four in-game phone apps so far: WAiNK, a car scanner; RydeMe, a ride-share app you can use as fast travel; Snapmatic, the returning social network; and a BuckMe bank balance. On top of that, you can text or call your partner at any time, and the radio now plays through the phone on foot. Here's what each app does, where the information comes from and what Rockstar still hasn't shown.

This is the full list of named apps and phone features from official sources and hands-on previews. Anything not on it hasn't been shown yet.

Rockstar hasn't published an official app list, and the names come from previews of the game rather than a menu screen. Expect more apps on November 19, 2026.
WAiNK: the car scanner
Official WAiNK is the app you'll use most if you like stealing cars. Game Informer's cover story says expensive cars in GTA 6 can have security systems and even trackers, and that scanning a car with WAiNK reveals them. The same scan shows what it costs to register the car as your personal vehicle and roughly what a fence would pay for it.
Official Rob Nelson, head of development at Rockstar North, showed the scanner in IGN's demo. He held the phone over a car and read out that it was locked, had an alarm and had no tracker, then pointed to its value at a Pay 'n' Spray or a specialty car fence. Nelson didn't say the app's name; Game Informer did.
This matters because car theft is no longer one button for every car. Official Cars are tiered: older cars need a slim jim, prestige cars need a key cloner, and a stolen car only becomes your personal vehicle once you pay to register it. Our stealing cars guide covers the tiers in full.

RydeMe: ride-share and fast travel
Official RydeMe is GTA 6's answer to Uber. Game Informer lists it as one of the fast-travel options, alongside a new map that looks like satellite imagery, and says you can even chat with passengers if you're sharing a ride.
Official Nelson used it in IGN's demo: Jason and Lucia took a RydeMe to a pawn shop before robbing it. IGN prints the name as "Ryde Me"; Game Informer prints "RydeMe".
Rockstar hasn't said how much a ride costs, whether you can drive for RydeMe yourself or how far a single ride can take you. For now it's best thought of as a taxi that skips the drive.

Snapmatic: browse, follow, don't post
Official Snapmatic, the series' Instagram parody, returns in GTA 6. Nelson told IGN that you have people you follow and you can also just browse it. When IGN asked whether Jason and Lucia can post their own photos, the answer was no.
No, because you're a couple on the run. You just lurk.

Official Game Informer makes the same point: the pair won't post their own content because they're wanted criminals, but you can scroll social media on your in-game phone instead of looking at Leonida.
Social media satire isn't new for the series. Official The LOVE magazine essay on GTA 6 points out that GTA 5 already mocked smartphones and social media with Lifeinvader and Bleeter, and that the online world has only sped up since 2013. BuckMe: your bank balance
Reported According to TweakTown's write-up of a hands-on preview, money in GTA 6 exists in three forms: the cash you carry, an ATM card and a BuckMe bank balance. Reported Cash on you can be lost if you're killed or busted, so banking it matters more than in GTA 5.
BuckMe's name comes from that preview, not from Rockstar. Rockstar hasn't shown the app itself, and nothing official says whether you can move money from your phone. You'll see claims online that "you can't bank from your phone" in GTA 6; we couldn't find a source for that, so treat it as unconfirmed.

Texts and calls with your partner
Official The phone is also how Jason and Lucia stay in touch. Nelson told IGN you can text or call the other character at any point. In the demo, Lucia replied to a text with "Sweet, I'll come to you."
Official It goes the other way too. If you spend a whole day out as one character, the other will text you, for example to say they're heading to bed. A short reply is enough, but ignoring it can hurt.
If you don't bother to even respond, it may impact your relationship a bit.

Radio, podcasts and headphones
Official Rockstar's Newswire post on GTA 6's music confirmed two series firsts: on-demand podcasts, and radio you can listen to on foot. Both play in vehicles and on foot through newly introduced headphones and earbuds connected to Jason and Lucia's smartphones.
In earlier GTAs, getting out of the car meant losing the music. In GTA 6 your soundtrack can follow you down the street. Official Six stations have been revealed so far, including Flash FM and The Chamber 106.6; our radio stations guide lists them all with their confirmed songs.
What Rockstar hasn't said yet
A lot of the phone is still unknown. These are the gaps worth watching before launch:
- The full app list. Only the apps above have been named. Rockstar hasn't shown a full home screen.
- The camera. Rockstar has said you can't post to Snapmatic, but not whether the phone can take photos.
- Banking on the phone. BuckMe is reported; how you move money in and out hasn't been shown.
- Ride prices. No cost, range or wait time has been given for RydeMe.
- Cheats and phone numbers. Nothing official yet on whether any are entered through the phone.
Our take
Our read: GTA 6's phone is built around the game's two big changes. Car theft now has layers, so WAiNK lets you check a car before you commit. Money now matters, so where it's kept (cash or BuckMe) matters too. And because Jason and Lucia are a couple, the phone keeps them connected when you play them apart.
It also fits the setting. Leonida is a place where everyone films everything, and Rockstar's choice to make Jason and Lucia lurkers, not posters, is a neat bit of character writing: two people trying not to be seen in a world that never stops watching. What does the WAiNK app do in GTA 6?

Can you post on Snapmatic in GTA 6?
No. Rob Nelson told IGN that Jason and Lucia can follow people and browse Snapmatic, but they can't post because they're a couple on the run. They "just lurk".
Is there fast travel in GTA 6?
Yes. Game Informer says RydeMe, a ride-share app, is one of GTA 6's fast-travel options, and you can chat with passengers if you share a ride.
Is GTA 6 available on Android or iPhone?
No. GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. The phone apps on this page are inside the game; there's no official GTA 6 mobile game or companion app announced.
Can you listen to the radio without a car in GTA 6?
Yes. Rockstar says radio and new on-demand podcasts play on foot through headphones and earbuds connected to Jason and Lucia's phones, a first for the series.
